Well, it looks like the day has finally come to open GetinHerHead.com to the world! We've spent over a year thinking, planning, and building the idea. While we already know a number of features that will be added soon, we are excited to get GetinHerHead.com out there and start helping couples.
Thanks to everyone who has helped get this project off the drawing boards and onto the web!
Molly over at Demogirl just sent a note along letting us know that she created the screencast imbedded below for GetinHerHead. (You can access the full screen version here.) Let me just say this - she nailed it! I was thrilled that Molly, a person I've never met or have spoken with before, could understand and explain the service so well.
By the way, the screencast idea is a good one. Its a really easy way to let people know about your site and could be a great 'tour' feature. Had I known about this earlier, we might not have done all that flash work ourselves!

Thanks to everyone who has been testing GetinHerHead.com so far. I especially appreciated your patience on Monday when our system sent out 3 to 10 reminder emails to each of you....
The bugs, including the reminder glitch, should be completely worked out by Friday. We are going to migrate the private beta site over to www.getinherhead.com starting this weekend and will hope to have a fully functional site on the web starting end of day on Tuesday.
For everyone who is currently using the system, your account will remain the same. However, the new web address will be www.getinherhead.com. We'll send a reminder out to everyone.
Again, thanks for everyone who has helped move this idea forward. We're mighty excited about the feedback and look forward to continuing the improvements!
I'm happy to report we've finally opened up the site to testing by some close friends. Already, many suggestions have been provided to improve the service and several bugs we hadn't noticed before raised their heads.
Hopefully, we'll be able to make these corrections this week and open up the site to everyone who has signed up for the private beta. We'll keep our fingers crossed!
The work continues on the creation of the private beta site. Kate and I have been playing around with it a bit and have found way too many bugs to release out to anyone else. Hopefully, the fixes will be in place in a week (fingers crossed) so we can get rolling on the testing. The site LOOKS good but the true usefulness of the service is not showing itself yet. Ah, the trials of a startup.
In the meantime, we've had another great round of meetings. Genevieve Bos, the co-founder and publisher of Pink Magazine, has been very helpful with ideas and next steps. Boy, you want to talk about one smart, connected lady! She was very impressive in person and quite warm.
Toby Bloomberg has been very helpful in getting the blog a little more organized and thought out. I'd highly recommend her - easy style, insightful questions, and great advice.
Kate has scheduled a meeting with one of the founders of a huge online group for moms. The initial view of the concept was pretty interesting to them and we're excited to get in front of such a large group. Hopefully, this reaction will continue as we spread our wings to touch a few more potential partners.
Please plan on hearing from Kate very soon . We are going to start posting on the nature of healthy relationships very soon (the main purpose of this blog) but needed to work a few kinks out first. Speak with you soon!
It's been a very busy week with the buildout of the site. Andres and the team have been 'marrying' the functionality and design aspects of the site while we've been editing and coming up with new ways to foil their progress. (Ah, the infamous "idea people!") Hopefully, we'll be ready to start the private beta right after Thanksgiving.

We've also just launched a new look for the blog. (Like it?) This will keep things a bit cleaner and is more representative of our site's overall design and feel. I'll continue to make additions to the blog as we expand this part of our community. (For now, our pesky kids are keeping me too busy!)

I was thrilled with their feedback and excitement about our idea and approach. Hopefully, this is just the start of a lot of collaboration with great people out there.
