Resources for Her
Here is a selection of blogs and other resources I've found useful. All have great things to share, ranging from relationships, to stress reduction, and more. I've divided them up into different groups so you can puruse more easily. Enjoy!
Understanding Men
www.understandingmen.com: Allison Armstrong is brilliant, funny, and - in my experience - dead on target. I've learned more from her than from just about anyone else.
www.ESPN.com: Look, if he likes sports and you want to be able to speak about what is going on, take a look at this from time to time. You most likely know what sport he likes to follow. Just click on the correct tab and see what's going on. He'll appreciate you being up to speed on what he likes.
Mom Blogs
www.coolmompicks.com: Kristen is a great writer and finds things you've never heard of but would really enjoy having around the house. It is a great site. (You can also find her at http://motherhooduncensored.typepad.com/reviewsandnews/)
www.blondemomblog.com: A fresh, honest look at life with kids.
Bethany Hiitola - Bethany writes about everything between the boundaries of motherhood and marriage. She's a wonderful writer and captures a number of things I've thought and felt very, very well!
Dooce: She's fun, creative, and a blast to follow. If you want shear entertainment, there is very little else that tops her.
Techmamas.com: Beth has a TON of tech experience and talks a good bit about it's benefits and detractions in regards to family life.
Geek Mom Mashup: Her subtitle tells it all - 'Life is a mashup of toys and gadgets, hobbies and recipes, kids and odd socks, all held together with love and duct tape.' I know all about the hobbies, kids, socks, duct tape, and love but she helps me with the tech part of things.
Review Blogs:
Moms Favorite Stuff: While not every relationship creates children, those that do should be prepared for all the ins and outs. Jodi and the ladies over at Moms Favorite Stuff provide a lot of good information for moms, the little ones, and the entire family. Whether its about bathing your baby, planning a great birthday party or getting organized, they are a great resource.
